# ncWMS Widget

**Widget for visualizing a WMS service generated with the ncWMS software in ESRIs Experience Builder**

## About

This widget let's you visualize WMS-Services generated through the ncWMS
server (used by a THREDDS-Server for instance) on a map in ArcGIS and provides
widgets for customizing the visualization, selecting variables, time steps,
vertical layers, and so on. The widget mimics the behaviour of the
[Godiva3viewer][godiva3] [^godiva3-note], built-in to the ncWMS software, and
populates itself from the server capabilities (pallettes, styles, etc.) and
netCDF content.

    Which is why this widget is tailored towards the ncWMS software
    and cannot be used for arbitrary WMS services.
